Max & Piper

Max and Piper are an adorable pair of rescue pups that I had so much fun photographing. Max is an Atlanta Pet Rescue alum, a ten-year-old poodle/terrier mix, and Piper is a five-year-old flat-coated retriever mix. Max is such a love that he spent most of the session rolled over on his back begging for tummy rubs. Piper is more shy than her brother, so she was a little wary of the camera but still very photogenic, with her beautiful glossy coat. It was wonderful to see what a bond they had with their people, and how perfect they all are together.

One of Piper’s favorite activities is playing across the fence with the boxer next door:

Bonnie, Isis, and June Girl

Bonnie and June Girl are two beautiful seniors, and Isis is their baby sister. Their mama is a longtime volunteer for Good Mews, and she has a huge heart – she adopts older cats and cats with medical problems who don’t find homes as quickly. Such generosity of spirit is so inspiring – I very much enjoyed meeting these three and their mom.

Bonnie took to the camera immediately, sauntering around and striking poses whenever the mood struck. Isis, a beautiful blue-eyed Siamese mix, was a little worried at first, but her curiosity won over and we were able to see plenty of her during the session. 🙂 June Girl was very shy so we tried to minimize torturing her with the camera. She has one of the softest coats you’ll ever touch!

Isis pants when she’s worried and it did take her awhile to get used to the camera – but I couldn’t help but take a picture because it makes her look like she’s giving you a little smile!

June Girl loves to have her chin scratched. 🙂

Kathy R - What lovely kitties! Great photos. I love kitties so much. I wish my senior kitty would let me have more kitties 🙂

Vesper

Remember adorable eight-week-old Vesper who was sleepy for most of her session? Well, this Weimaraner pup is already six months old and she’s not sleepy anymore! She is a growing up to be a beautiful girl – she’s in the gangly teenage stage, with looooong legs and an unbounded zest for life. She loves to run and play and still makes the the cutest expressions. We were a little worried her energy might be a lot for a photo session, but she did wonderfully and I can’t wait to see her again when she’s grown into those legs. :p
