Moose, Zephyr, Dash & Dizzy

I meet Moose and Zephyr over four years ago (!) when I was still using a studio backdrop. Whippet Moose was two then, and black Lab Zephyr had barely turned a year old. Now they are seven and five, and have a new brother and sister. Dash, two, is the second Whippet and Dizzy, also two, is the second English Lab.

It was so fun to see them at home in their element, racing around their gorgeous backyard and plopping down in their favorite spots around the house. Everyone gets along fabulously, which is always wonderful to see. Dash has an identity complex and actually thinks he’s a Lab – he is obsessed with the ball!

Three of the pack are energetic and animated, and Moose is more like a cat. While the other three bound around chasing toys and looking for treats, Moose acts as though he’s above all this, and lounges around quietly in whatever spot he finds best at the moment.

From left to right, meet Dash, Moose, Dizzy and Zephyr:

Aphrodite & Junebug

I first met Aphrodite and Junebug in a rather unconventional setting – my doctor’s office! These two are so well-mannered and quiet they’re able to go to work each day and visit with patients. So in addition to Dr. Springer being the best doctor I’ve ever had, when I visit his office I get to see these two!

Given how laid-back and calm they are the office, I was pleasantly surprised to see a whole ‘nother side of them at home. Their favorite thing in all the world is a stick to chase and share, and then sitting at their dads’ feet when they’re all tuckered out.

I’ve ever seen two dogs so perfect for each other. Aphrodite, the lighter-colored mix with the gorgeous baby blues, is seven years old and was shy and reserved. But once Junebug came along (he’s now five years old), he brought her out of her shell and now she swims and plays like she never did on her own. I hope the photos capture just a fraction of how wonderful it is to watch them chase their stick and bring it back together, and what an adorable pair they make!

Kelly Ward - Hi Leesia – these photos are so wonderful! I can’t believe you know Dr. Springer and his pups. I love Junebug and Aphrodite and look forward to seeing them each time I see Dr Springer for my allergies.

A crew of six!

Get ready for a ginormous sneak peek! Chloe, a wonderfully sweet black-and-white cat, was the star of the show and the eldest at 11 years old. Sasha, another black-and-white with very unique markings, is about 10, followed by Corky, the playful all-black cat who is also 10 years old. Then shy Lilli is the tabby and about five years old.

Cheyenne is a seven-year-old corgi mix who was rescued by her family when she was pregnant, and Spot is one of her puppies that they just couldn’t part with. It’s funny to see how different they look from each other – Spot looks very much like a basset mix, but both of them have the long bodies and short stubby legs – which I’m always a sucker for. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking! Here’s Chloe:
