City Dog Market

This April marks City Dog Market‘s Four Year Anniversary. To celebrate, they have events each weekend of this month and last Saturday was their fundraiser for SmallDog Rescue that included King of Pops and Lick A Lots treats – there was a great turnout and I really enjoyed meeting all of CDM’s generous and amazing clients. To view photos from this event, follow the instructions below.

After you register, you will receive a discount code to use if you’d like to purchase any photos. A portion of print sales will be donated to SmallDog Rescue. Please contact me directly if you don’t receive the discount code within two business days of registering.

I wasn’t able to meet everyone, so not all who attended may have been photographed. If you do find your pup in the mix and mark any images as favorites, the system will save them for you when you log back in.

Photos will be posted for three weeks, until May 8th.

Congratulations to all the great folks at City Dog Market!

Bessie is available for adoption through SmallDog Rescue – she had quite the day meeting everyone!

Anna - Leesia,
The photos you took on Saturday are wonderful! I am partial to the ones of Sophie, of course, but you are a gifted photographer and really captured the spirit of the day!

Murphy

I first met Murphy three years ago when he was adopted from Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta. He was about 11 years old when he was abandoned at a county animal shelter and GRRA pulled him so that he could find his way to a family that would give him a loving home to live out his golden years.

It took no time at all for Pete and Victoria to fall in love with this sweet boy, and in the three years he’s been with them, he’s visited nursing homes and become a loyal companion for his sister Maggie, a senior herself who has lost her sight and looks to Murphy for help when she needs it. I went back for another session to capture some images that would celebrate the time they’ve had together.

The bonds that have formed between these four are as if they’d been together their whole lives. I feel so honored to know this sweet boy and to have such compassionate and caring clients.

One of Murph’s favorite things in all the world? Car rides!

Cha Gio & Xi Xon

These two adorable senior dachshunds were complete hams for the camera! Cha Gio (prounounced “cha-yaw” – it means “eggroll”!) is the 16-year-old big brother, and Xi Xon (pronounced “see-song”) is 15 years old. They were incredibly photogenic, along with their gorgeous parents, and were striking poses left and right. I love the long fluffy hair on the ends of Cha Gio’s ears, and Xi Xon’s many expressions. And you know I can never get enough of the short stubby legs!

One of their favorite pastimes is licking – Cha Gio licks Xi Xon’s face while she licks her own paws.

Xi Xon is missing some teeth, so sometimes her tongue peeks out a little – I love it!

rachel - love the little tongue!

admin - @Laine – that is too funny!

Laine Sweezey - Oh,for crying out loud. Way back in the day, when I lived near Piedmont Park, I used to eat at a Vietnamese restaurant called Cha Gio on a weekly basis. NOW I find out how to pronounce it!
(Darling dogs, however.)
