Henry

This was my third session with Henry, so I knew I was in for a treat! He is three now and handsome as ever, and still obsessed with the same football toy that he’s loved since he was a puppy. We pulled out a red one this time since his parents are big Cardinals fans, along with his bandanna too. As you can see, he happily obliged!

Joni - Gorgeous GSD! I see so many lovely GSD’s in the southern shelters. That is where I found the one I have a large long-haired male that is now about 14 years old.

Liz - Love the owner photos!!

Albie & Bandit

I photographed Albie in 2008 when he was three, and this year I got to see him again as he now has a little brother (who is not quite so little)! Bandit is a one-year-old lab mix who was rescued from a neglectful owner who left the poor boy on a tie-down for most of his first year as a puppy. Now he is making up for lost time in his new home, where he can freely chase squirrels and chipmunks in his yard all day to his heart’s content thanks to the doggy door. He now has responsible owners who shower him with affection and a brother who adores him.

My pups would be so jealous of this backyard – squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits abound and keep the dogs entertained for hours. Bandit has even staked out different lookouts in the yard based on their vantage points. It’s always so great to see happy endings!

Joni - Delightful! I too love happy endings. Thanks for sharing these guy’s photos and story.

Biggie

No images or descriptions could do Biggie justice…but I’ll try anyway. He is a four-year-old chihuahua mix from Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption and just plain ridiculous!! I wanted to scoop him up and take him home with me. Literally the only difficult part of the session was keeping him out of my lap – every time you bend to his level he immediately crawls onto you and coaxes you into petting him.

And he is so, so soft. He’s not by any means pudgy, but he seems to have some sort of padding beneath his fur even though he has short hair…petting him is so therapeutic I don’t know how his mom gets anything done in his company!

How could anyone not fall in love with this little guy?
