Saxon and Selene are beautiful pit bull mix rescues who are the perfect poster dogs for how wonderful pit bulls really are: they are gentle, outgoing, playful, and incredibly well-trained. They were very impressive off-leash and were terrific models for the camera.
Saxon is the big brother at six years old, and came from a rescue group in Asheville. If Selene looks a little familiar to you, it’s because she’s the almost-two-year-old sister of Dash and Titus, all rescued through Friends to the Forlorn. It was so funny to see the similarities and differences between these littermates – even though they’re all white and about the same build, each has different colored spots and varying floppy ears. They all have freckles on their belly, and each one of them spends a ridiculous amount of time on their back, begging for tummy rubs.
They are also going to be the official mascots for the soon-to-open Pit Stop for Pets in Alpharetta that not only offers organic and holistic food and professional grooming, they will be holding educational parties for children about responsible pet ownership. It’s going to be a great addition to the community so look out for their grand opening this fall!
Saxon is hilarious with his sticks – whenever he’s chewing he keeps his butt up in their air the entire time:
And Selene always has to have what her brother has, so she hovers until she can steal his toy, stick, what-have-you…
