Edith Ann and Teddy are nine- and seven-year-old pit bull rescues who are the sweetest and most patient dogs a family could ask for. Their human sisters are two and four years old and to watch them together is so heartwarming. The two-year-old (I’m omitting names for the children’s privacy) will actually crawl on top of them and try to ride them, and they just lie there, content to just be in their company. They gently takes treats that the girls love feeding them, and at night when everyone’s relaxing from the day all four have been known to pile on the couch together in a heap of arms, legs and paws.
I can hardly believe that Edith is nine – she has the energy and enthusiasm of a puppy and showed no signs of tiring until the last 30 seconds of the session! Teddy is the calm, reserved brother but still loves a good wrestling match now and then. Edith is the brindle girl on the left and Teddy is on the right:
Trista - These photos really warm my heart! Such a great thing to share of the children with the ‘mean’ pit bulls! I just adore this breed.
Michele - I LOVE every picture, but especially the last one! Awesome work, Leesia!
Pupparazzi Pet Photography Melbourne - I love the shots with the kids too. Very cute!
sonya - Stunning photos. What a shame that this breed has such a poor reputation because some people are cruel and irresponsible.
Laine Sweezey - I’m so glad to see this loving, gentle relationship involving Pit Bulls. Until the early 20th Century, the Pit Bull was commonly known as the “Nanny Dog” because it is so gentle, devoted, patient, and loyal. It took humans to turn nanny dogs into fighting dogs. NOT the dogs’ fault! Great photos, Leesia!
Matt - Beautiful pictures, and another example of how great pitbulls truly are!
Liz - These are so beautiful! I just love Teddy passed out on the little girl bed. And Edith the pony!
Pam Kirkwood - Wow…such adorable and poignant pix of both Zoe and Jenna and Edith and Teddy…Wonderful…
