Bullet is a two-and-a-half-year-old Springer Spaniel who was just adopted by his mom from someone who didn’t want him when he got a bad case of heartworms. It was a perfect match for both of them – now Bullet has a real home with someone who truly cares about him, and his mom has one of the most wonderful dogs I have EVER met!
When I first arrived for the session, I thought I was knocking on the wrong door because I didn’t hear any barking on the other side…but when the door opened I was greeted with a very wriggly Bullet who was holding one of his favorite new toys in his mouth and could hardly contain himself. He is super friendly but doesn’t knock the wind out of you, and is constantly rolling over for tummy rubs (the quickest way to my heart). And for anyone who’s met a Springer Spaniel before – you know how silky smooth they are. It was a wonder I was able to get any work done and didn’t just pet him the whole time. :p
I seriously wanted to sneak him away with me after the session and take him home!!
I especially loved his black-and-white feathers and those freckled pads:
Alyssa - Your photographs are absolutely amazing! I could look at them all day. I love the way you capture these beautiful animals!
Joni Solis - He is simply gorgeous! His first owner was a total fool and I am so happy for him now with a great new owner and life. There are so many wonderful dogs that can be found in shelters and rescues that unless you are going to want to show a dog why buy?
Liz - I LOVE this story!! We used to have a spaniel with these markings and colors – beautiful photos!
