Two years ago I had the pleasure of photographing the famous (and rescued – yay!) pups of The Scottie Mom and this fall I got to see them again for holiday photos. Sweet Heather was there with us in spirit, and Mr K. (black), Nibbles (cream), and Puddly (fawn) remembered exactly how to charm the camera!
Where do I even start with this crew?! The pups are Dakota, Jax, and Eddie – Dakota is a Westie, and Jax and Eddie are very unique terrier mixes. Dakota is the oldest at 4, but only by a year. Nikko and Noah are Persians, 10 and 4 years old respectively.
Got all that? :p They are all boys, a funny coincidence, and all get along amazingly well. Dakota is the athlete of the family, always ready to fetch, while Jax is into belly rubs and Eddie can never be without something to chew on. As the eldest, Nikko reigns over everyone and has the most beautiful golden coat. Noah is the playful grey boy who can’t resist a string and loves to wrestle with Eddie.
They were so much fun that I could have photographed them all day long and still not have every photo I wanted!
You will not believe me when I tell you this cutie is 14 years old. Roscoe could pass for a puppy, with his bouncy energy and floofy round face. He’s a rescued (yay!) cockapoo who is his mama’s shadow and when he’s not showering her with affection, he’s defending her from the monsters on TV or navigating for one of his favorite pastimes – riding in the convertible!
