Scout Dog

Scout is a 10-year-old Dalmatian/Pointer mix who was rescued as a puppy. He is incredibly calm and a complete mama’s boy, always attached to her at the hip everywhere she goes. He’ll only run if she’s running, only play if she’s playing, only stretch out and relax if she is.

He looks amazing for his age, and still likes to play and wrestle like he did when he was a puppy. Scout is handsome and he knows it – when he lies down he curls or crosses his paw like he’s royalty. I could have taken photos of him all day long!

Aiken

Aiken is a one-year-old Boykin Spaniel who has never met a stranger. When someone new walks into his home, he doesn’t bark, but rather jumps with joy and wiggles with so much excitement he can hardly contain himself! He is such a ham, always smiling widely or goofily cocking his head. He is incredibly photogenic, too – in fact, the only tough part about photographing him is trying to keep yourself from petting him instead! He always has to be pressed up against his mom or dad (or the new visitor with the camera), getting his back or ears scratched.

We were lucky to finally have a few consecutive days of sun, so we could enjoy the unbelievably beautiful garden at Aiken’s home. His family has crafted a lovely oasis in the middle of the city, a garden so stunning that it’s been on the cover of Southern Living and been rented for weddings. An adorable dog, a lovely garden, AND a sunny spring day? Does it get any better than this?!

Baby Roo

Just a quick note before we get to the good stuff – I’ll be out of the office until Monday April 13th. Thank you for your patience while I’m out – I’ll return emails and calls as soon as I’m back!

Now – brace yourself! Baby Roo is a crazy cute dachshund mix just adopted from the Atlanta Humane Society. Even though she’s only about eight weeks old, she’s already figured out the house training bit and how to play fetch. In the week she’s been home, they haven’t even heard her bark once. She does squeak excitedly when playing with her toys or her big sister Mia, who always seems to especially take to the smallest creature in her home at any given time.

I will not even attempt to describe how ridiculously adorable Baby Roo is. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves:

Sammy, Mia, & Baby Roo » Atlanta Dog Photography & Pet Portraits by Leesia Teh - […] Baby Roo and Mia have welcomed a new brother into the pack! Sammy is a rescue too, and even though he’s only about a year old he exudes the calm wisdom of an old soul. He gets along fabulously with everyone, and is pretty much a couch potato who loves affection, from people and dogs alike. […]
