Ling & Lily

It’s been awhile since I’ve able to post! For those in Atlanta, you know we just got through a loooooong spell of wacky weather…icy one day, briefly sunny and nearly hot the next, followed by days and days of rain. After wreaking havoc on my shooting schedule, the weather seems to have settled down (for now) so now it’s time to get caught up…

I last photographed Ling when she was eleven years old and her little sister Lily had just joined the family as a puppy…I can’t believe it’s been five years since that session, but Ling is now sixteen and Lily is five! And they now have a two-legged sister who’s younger than both of them but quickly outgrew them size-wise. :p

Ling is still a beautiful, regal girl – she spends her days as queen of the castle, lounging in her favorite sunny spots while Lily keeps watch at the windows to keep tabs on the comings and goings. These girls make quite the pair!

Griff

Even though Griff gets into his fair share of mischief, he makes up for that with his steadfast loyalty and charming good looks. He is a three-year-old catahoula mix adopted through the K9 Rescue League. He had a rough start living outdoors so he didn’t know anything about living with people, but his new family worked tirelessly to not only get him well, but also gave him the attention and training he needed. You would never know when meeting this calm, social, and sweetly playful boy that he had such beginnings.

And don’t even get me started on his markings! It’s just another one of the many reasons I love mixed breeds – so many unique combinations and looks. Isn’t he gorgeous?

Kodi, Berkeley, and Gracie

Meet Kodi, Berkeley, and Gracie! Kodi is a black lab who has soulful eyes and the air of an infinitely wise elder. He is calm and sweet, always wagging his tail and taking it all in. We celebrated his 14th birthday during the session with a special cake and some party hats for good measure.

Berkeley is a 12-year-old yellow lab/vizsla mix, a sweet girl who loves to be the center of attention. Don’t tell her she’d be considered a senior, as she still loves to play and run. Gracie is the baby of the pack, a 10-year-old mix with those eyebrow markings we all love. She likes to remind everyone that she’s the youngest, always bounding out in front to grab the toy or treat! She’s happiest when she’s carrying a stuffed animal in her mouth and patrolling for squirrels.
