Can you believe fluffy little eight-week-old Skylar is already seven months old now?! He is over 40 pounds now and every bit the rebellious, energy-filled teenager. This session was, fittingly, almost all action shots. Sticks, tennis balls, bubbles – you name it, Skylar will chase it! His zeal and enthusiasm were such fun to photograph. I can’t think of a better way to spend a lovely fall morning. Thanks, Kelli, for a great session – can’t wait to see you both again when he’s all grown up!
Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption held their first annual Paws in the Park fundraising event this Sunday at Centennial Olympic Park and it was a smashing success! They had a fantastic turnout and raised a whopping $144,000 for the dogs and cats awaiting homes. In addition to the actual dog walk, there were demos for sheep herding, Jack Russell racing, agility and more.
With so much going on, there were many dogs and some events I wasn’t able to photograph, but I hope you’ll enjoy this sampling of images from the day. To view the full gallery for this event, follow the instructions below. After you register, you will receive a discount code to use if you’d like to purchase any photos. Please contact me directly if you don’t receive the discount code after two business days of registering.

I wasn’t able to meet everyone, so not all who attended may have been photographed. If you do find your pup in the mix and mark any images as favorites, the system will save them for you when you log back in.
Photos will be posted for two weeks, until October 13th.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth to say hello – it was great to see you and your pups!
These cuties are looking for forever homes through Southeast Pug Rescue, Atlanta Boxer Rescue and Atlanta Beagle Rescue:

My boy Kipper and I (a/k/a “Riley”) had to miss and we were so very disappointed. As always, your pictures are amazing and so very heart-touching. What a magic you have! Thanks so much for sharing for those of us that missed the day.
Beautiful pics, as always!

I LOVE the pictures … and especially the pic of Boomer!!!!

I was very lucky that Remy’s mom is wonderfully flexible and understanding – the day we scheduled our session it was overcast, but there hadn’t been any rain so we went ahead as planned…and literally, within in the first five seconds we stepped out of the car when we arrived at the park, it started drizzling. (Not a single drop on the windshield on the way to the park! Seriously.) We hoped it was just a sprinkle but alas…it was not to be. We took a wild guess at a best time to try again the next day and it turned out to be perfect! So I owe a big thank-you to Brooke for meeting me twice and being so adaptable. 🙂
Remy is a four-year-old Golden Retriever who loves walks, rolling in the grass and watching all the goings-on from his window. We didn’t get to go on-location to a water spot, but he also loves lakes and rivers – but funnily enough, not pools because being able to see the bottom freaks him out! But more than anything else in the world, he loves his mom and being around people. It was so sweet to see how attentive he was with her, never leaving her side and always eager to please. Isn’t he a handsome boy?
great name; hanndsome boy; wonderful photos
that last one is just perfect!
