Bailey, Milo (& Scout!)

Bailey, Milo and Scout are the fur babies of a wonderful Atlanta Pet Rescue volunteer, and Milo and Scout are APR alumni. Sweet Bailey, the oldest, was found in a box outside of a restaurant when she was only three weeks old and has been with Sheri ever since.

Bailey is the oldest sister at 15 years old, and Milo and Scout are her playful younger brothers at 6 and 2 years old. Each one has so many adorable quirks that it only took a few seconds to fall in love with them! Bailey stays statue-still for ridiculous amounts of time and the one thing that really excites her is – believe it or not – her hairball medicine! She will actually paw at the kitchen counter where the medicine is kept to beg for it.

Milo is the goofy one who loves sunbathing on the patio, catnip, and making up hilarious kitty-yoga positions (you’ll see what I mean in just a second!), and sweet Scout was a feral cat who needed to be socialized as a foster, but then Sheri couldn’t give him up and he’s still not himself with anyone but his mom.

I only got to meet Scout for a few minutes since we didn’t want to traumatize him beyond recovery, and after literally a couple of shots we let him return to his safe place under the bed. But he has the most beautiful green and yellow eyes, and was amazingly sweet considering what we were making him do! They were all terrific models – thank you, Sheri, for a great session!

Bailey is on the left, Milo on the right:

and a glimpse of Scout:

Milo’s favorite places are the windowsills of his two big picture windows – in the office he crams himself between the window and back of the chair – see what I mean about the crazy poses? This cracked me up.

Jen Varkoly - The last two pics are my absolute favorite. I can’t believe Bailey is 15, she looks like a teenager. She hasn’t lost an ounce of muscle tone in her old age. You can tell from Scout’s eyes that he is a slight bit nervous. He will always be your special needs child.

Paula Budd - The pictures of Bailey, Milo and Scout are wonderful. I am Sheri’s mom so I personally know all of the cats. I think that you have captured their personalities in these pictures. I can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures. I especially love Bailey trying to get her treats.

Renee Budd - Those are such wonderful pictures. I personally know and love all three of Sheri’s cats. The one of Bailey looking out the window is so beautiful.

Cody

Cody is an adorable 5-month-old lab mix puppy who was found wandering the streets and brought into animal control when he was just a baby. He was lucky to find his mom – now he gets to go to doggie daycare once a week to see all his friends, has a trainer to keep that brilliant mind of his constantly learning, and even gets to visit his mom’s office occasionally, a successful dental practice in Suwanee.

He still acts like a 10-week-old puppy, bounding around in fits of energy and picking up a new toy every fourth of a second. But amazingly, even with all that energy, he’s still incredibly attentive and can obey sit, down, and stay commands even at his age. He’s incredibly outgoing and loves every new person and dog he meets!

I barely captured the look on the right – I burst out laughing behind the camera as soon as I noticed his tongue, and when he heard my laugh he broke his sit and went right back into playtime mode!

Tim "The Atlanta Picture Framer - Hanger" - I love the one where he’s looking skyward, seems like he’s daydreaming!

Barking Hound Village – Westside location

I recently had the opportunity to work with Barking Hound Village, a daycare and boarding facility with a number of locations all around Atlanta. I was asked to help spruce up their recently-renovated Westside location on 14th Street. We chose 10 24×36 gallery wrapped canvases of dogs all sizes, colors and ages to warm up the hallway where dogs are escorted to and from the lobby. You can see these beautiful pups if you take a tour of the facility. Since we hung these, even the dogs have started looking up as they pass to check everything out!

This location is a cage-free facility with both indoor and outdoor play yards. They have many options for boarding with their brand-new, state-of-the-art kennels and private suites. They offer grooming services as well, and all new clients get a FREE day of daycare! Check out their website for more information.

Here’s the display in its entirety – from left to right are Emmett, Eleanor, Monty, Sam, Ava & Casey, Dash, Rufus, Rudy and Murphy! (Monty and Emmett are the store manager’s own adorable pups, both Atlanta Pet Rescue alumni! The tenth canvas is hanging in the main lobby area, a perfect summer image of the two of them in the pool.)

Liz - That’s great Leesia! Those dogs are probably thinking “How can I get such a great picture taken of ME?!” It’s funny how everyone loves upside-down Dash. They have no idea that he is even cuter right-side up!
