Mutt Madd-ness Birthday Celebration!

Mutt Madd-ness held their second annual birthday party this weekend at K9 Planet in Roswell and I was honored to be invited! Adopted littermates came back to see their all-grown-up brothers and sisters – and even their mama! It was wonderful to see all the different pups who had found their forever homes through Mutt Madd-ness, and to see how well they’re doing in their new families. Fun was had by all. ๐Ÿ™‚

Mutt Madd-ness - Leesia again thank you for taking time out of your hectic schedule to fit in a photo session for Mutt Madd-ness! As always, wonderful job! Some of these pictures are so moving, especially when you know where many of these dogs began their lives and what great ones they have now. HUGE thank you!

Grady

Grady is a sweet 7-year-old Maltese who is an Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption alum. She’s a very quiet, loyal girl who’s always by her mom’s side and has been wonderful with her new baby sister. Her favorite treat is anything sweet potato: she loves them in any form – fresh, dried, mashed…

She even has her own bedroom where she listens to NPR while her family is at work during the day, and at night she snuggles with them on the bed. Oh, to be a dog!

She always spins when the sweet potatoes come out! Fun fact: she always turns to the left!

joan - We have a little one just like yours, her name is Molly Ann and she was rescue dog also, we are hoping she will calm down as she is quite hyper, I call her monkey dog, she climbs everywhere and she is very funny…I love her.

Sheila - I am soooo in love with these photos! She is adorable and you really captured her personality. My favorites are as she is doing a mini-play bow on the deck, spinning, and when she has her treat in her mouth. Adorable!!

Brandi - How adorable!!!

Stephanie - Awe! I love her ears when she is chomping on the treat! These are all amazing shots!

Oreo, Loki & Simon

You will not believe me when I tell you this little 12-pound girl is 10 years old – but she is. Not only is Oreo deceptively young-looking, she looks like a chihuahua/JRT mix, but her recent DNA test came back with cocker/boston/beagle…but there has got to be some chihuahua in her! Two years ago, her previous owners dropped her off at the pound because she wasn’t getting along with their children. Lucky for Oreo, when her current owners found out, they rushed to pull her from animal control – they had known her for much of her life as her petsitters and bonded with her even then.

So it may have taken her eight years to find it, but Oreo is now finally in her perfect forever home. She now has her own perches in the window, spots on the bed and couch, and squirrels to chase in a beautiful backyard. But most importantly, she has doting parents who love her. Her big brother is Simon, a sweet 13-year-old boy who loves to give kisses, and the newest addition is 8-week-old Loki, a ridiculously fluffy ragdoll kitten, so of course I had to sneak in a few of the boys as well…

It’s always fun to be able to get a genuine homecoming shot – Oreo’s mom came home in the middle of the session:

Joni Solis - LOVE the photo on the bed!

I wish more people would contact their friends, family, and the public to try to re-home their pet(s) if they can not keep he or she or them any longer instead of dumping them at a kill shelter. I want to thank this dog’s new owner for saving her and loving her.
